SEC Championship Game Results

OPENING NOTES
Today, December 1, 2007, is the SEC Championship game.
The University Tennessee (UT) Vols Eastern SEC Champs takes on Loisiana State University (LSU) Tigers the Western SEC Champs for the overall SEC Championship title. The Vols ranked 14 and the Tigers ranked 5. This game is played in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia Dome. The game was airred on CBS. It is also airred on WIVK 107.7 FM radio station here in Knoxville, TN.

This game will prove interesting. Tennessee beat Kentucky in 4 Overtimes. While Kentucky beat LSU. Also Arkansas lost to Tennessee, but Arakansas beat LSU in 3 Overtimes. That lose against Arkansas for LSU cost them the National Championship! So this will be a big power house match up.

1ST QUARTER
Tennessee scored within 3 minutes of the start of the game. That touchdown by Tennessee was the first score of the game. With LSU’s first drive they could only get a field goal out of it. Tennessee couldn’t get anywhere on their 2nd drive, so they had to punt the ball. LSU had to go for another field goal from their 2nd drive. At the end of the first quarter the score is TN 7 — LSU 6.

2ND QUARTER
This Vols kept pushing back LSU. They lost 25 yards in this one drive. LSU did get a nice punt out of it. Now Tennessee has 60 yards to a touchdown! However, Tennessee couldn’t catch any of the drives thrown by Ainge. Now LSU has the ball after a punt and has made good yardage.
With 10 seconds left on the clock LSU attemped a 30 yard field goal and it was NO GOOD!. At the end of the 2nd quarter the score is TN 7 — LSU 6.

AFLAC QUESTION
Question: LSU is 1 of 4 teams who lost twice in the same season when ranked #1. What are the other 3 teams?
Answers: Minnesota, Nebraska and Norte Dame

HALF TIME NOTES
This has proven to be a tough game so far. You can tell both the defensive and the offensive teams are great. Because the offive teams on both sides cannot get far because of the defense of the other teams. This is truly a power house game. I still believe that at half time, it can be anyones game.

3RD QUARTER
LSU is the first to score in the 2nd half from the opening drive. Tennessee tried for a field goal and it was no good! Tennessee just picked up a fumble from LSU. Everyone thought LSU had it at first. Tennessee was faking that they had it at first. This is LSU’s 3rd fumble lost of this season. Tennessee gets a touchdown. Tennessee just intercepted the ball from LSU. That was about a 30 yard throw from the quarterback to the Tennessee interception. Tennessee went for a field goal attempt and it was no good. The 2nd one for Tenenssee that was no good this game. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score is TN 14 — LSU 13.

4TH QUARTER
LSU’s quarterback Ryan Perrilloux hurt his finger. He might need stiches, but he keeps playing with the hurt finger. You can see the blood soaking through the bandage. They keep changing the bandage each time he comes off the field. LSU does a punt fake and picks up a 1st down. The news casters just made a note that Tennessee hasn’t had a turnover or a penalty. They just jinxed us. LSU intercepted the ball and got a touchdown from it! LSU plans for a 2 point conversion. They got it! Tennessee needs a touchdown and the extra point to tie the game and possibly go into overtime or a touchdown and get the 2 point conversion to win the game. Fulmer went for it on the 4th down and it didn’t get anything on it. So this pretty much can make tell you who will win. I see LSU winning now! But there is a chance the Vols can get the ball back, but they must score and get the extra point to tie this game. LSU had to punt it off and couldn’t go anywhere with it. Tennessee is now within scoring about 15 yards away! It is interscepted by LSU! Well, it is about over with for Tennessee now with under 3 minutes left of the game. One of the only hopes is Tennessee getting an interseption. Which Tennessee never got. At the end of the 4th quarter the final score is TN 14 — LSU 21.

CLOSING NOTES
This game has been a cliff hanger of a game. As I stated before it could have been anyones game. I did noticed that Erik Ainge’s (Senior) normal overthrowing the ball. This game did keep on on the edge of my seat watching it. The winner of this game (LSU) goes onto the Sugar Bowl. This could have been Tennessee going onto the Sugar Bowl. But rather the Vols win or lose, I still full support the Vols. They played a hell of a game tonight. Great job guys! This would have been the Vols first trip to the Sugar Bowl. Tennessee might go to the Peach or the Outback Bowl. When, I find out, I will make sure to post which Bowl Game Tennessee will get to play in.

SIDE NOTES
1. One of the things I have noticed from this game that LSU has a strong offisive team. It seem to take several of Tennessee’s defensive team to take down one LSU player.

2. I also did notice that LSU did get a lot of penalties. They have also been named the most penalized team in SEC this year. At the end of the third quarter, Tennessee never got one penalty.

3. Les Miles, the head coach for LSU turns down the head coach job for the University of Michigan. Michigan is his alamater.

4. Phillip Fulmer also saved his job from the last 5 wins. The news reported during the game. That they also extended his contract and have plans for a raise for him, just because of those wins.

5. This year I haven’t been able to make game post like I did last years season. Work has kept me busy this season to do that. I hope next year I can continue to do that.

6. If you are a Vol fan, show your allegance to the Vols by joinging Big Orange Army. When you sign up, be sure to tell them Dog Tag ID #06-0002-412 told you to join! It can help me advance in rank!

7. I have updated my web site with the score from the SEC championship game. I will leave the 2007 results on my web site for a short while. I have updated and added the 2008 Tennessee Football Schedule to my web site. (www.cardeologist.com).

MY COLLECTION IS NOT FOR SALE

I wished this damn idiot would learn, my business card collection is not for sale.
Nor will it ever be for sale! So stop e-mailing me and asking me how much I would sale it.
You know who you are! I told the person $100 million dollars. Outrageous eh?
Just as outrageous as you asking me to sell my business card collection!

business cards

I gained 80 business cards these last two days. November 30, 2007 I gained 2 business cards from a normal contributor in Plains Township, PA. That person also sent me 3 duplicates. Then, today (December 1, 2007), I gained 21 business cards from a collector in Lombard, IL. I also gained 47 from a normal contributor in Knoxville, TN along with 1 duplicate. My new overall total is 138,058.

I need less than 2,000 business cards to reach my secondary goal for business cards to have 140,000 by Christmas.
