Are you all having some wacky weather too? It seems it is Spring weather near 70′s and such and then boom back to the teens for highs. Well, we were at 51 yesterday and by 2 a.m. the 22nd, it was snowing like crazy. Woke up and got a good dusting. Is Mother Nature falling asleep or something? We even had tornado warnings, this past Wednesday (18th of February). So how has my readers weather been? I want to know. Give me your comments.

On Sunday, February 15, 2009, I hit 100K miles on my car. I was on my way from taking my mom home from work to her house. She had me stop at the store and it hit the 100K mark right as I pulled into a parking spot.
It is hard to believe, this car had nearly 47K when I first got it, end of January 2005. Almost 4 years later and I put on over 50K miles. Just wanted to make a post about a mile stone with my car.

Today, February 8, 2009, is a double Scouting Holiday. Not only is it Scouting Sunday but it is also The Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of American. In one year the Boy Scouts will celebrate their 100th Anniversary. So that means this year is the 99th. 1910 – 2009.
So some of my readers will know, I am an Eagle Scout. I attained my rank of Eagle in 1994. An Eagle Scout is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. “Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle!”.
I am also a lifetime member of National Eagle Scouts Association (NESA).
BTW, I have noticed that the Scouts are also collecting food for Scouting for Food. So if you can donate food, that will be great. The food will go to those in need.
Congratulations to University of Tennessee Lady Vol Basketball Coach, Pat Head Summitt for her 1,000 career win. The Lady Vols defeated University of Georgia Lady Bulldogs. Final score was 73 to 43. GO LADY VOLS! Coach Summitt has been coaching for the Lady Vols for 35 years.
My last post, I mentioned about them closing schools early. Well, on Tuesday they closed schools around 10 p.m. on Monday. Then there was no schools yet again today. They closed them around 5/6 a.m. the day of. It was freezing cold, very cold wind chill factors. Shoot, we even had freezing fog the other day. That is more common up by Canadian border and even up in Alaska. I am not sure yet, if they will close off the schools for Thursday (tomorrow). They are still callling for more snow tonight, but the last few nights we haven’t got much snow added. Just freezing roads and such. I cannot wait for it to warm up soon. BRRRR!!! (BTW, they are calling for warm weather in a couple of days, near 60′s again). No wonder we all are sick, 60 one day 20′s and colder the next day or so.
We got more snow today! They called school off for Knox County at 12:30 p.m. They say we might get some more later tonight/early into Tuesday morning. Even some chances on Wednesday too. The odd thing is that on Sunday it was near 60 degrees. Gotta love Mother Nature.
