I was out the other day with my girlfriend, Sandy, and I noticed a flier that said
Bikers for Scouts. I wasn’t too sure what it was. I did some Googling and didn’t find much information on it. I found a few places that had some information on it. This will be the 3rd annual Bikers for Scouts.
Bikers for Scouts is a Bike ride benefit to help the Boy Scouts of America in the Great Smoky Mountain Council. It is to help make restorations to Camp Pellissippi.
Camp Pellissippi is a Boy Scout camp located on Norris Lake in Union County area. It was built in the 1940′s.
I remember as a young scout my troop would always go to that camp for the weekend and often for a week. We would help do some community service, trail clearing and other stuff like that.
Scouting was a big part of my life and I highly recommend Scouting to anyone. Plus, I am an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.
The fundraiser will be held at Tommy’s Motorsports just off Exit 122 on I-75 in Clinton, TN (2401 Andersonville Highway). There will be a 62 mile bike ride.
This event is May 22, 2010 and registration begins at 10 a.m. and the ride starts at noon. It cost $20 per bike with a lunch provided. Door prizes, silent auction and a t-shirt are also available for this wonderful event.
Want to know more information please feel free to contact the Great Smoky Mountain Boy Scout office at (865) 588-6514 or visit www.bsa-gsmc.org.

Big Orange Turf? This post came as means of an April Fools Day joke that WIVK did.
What if the Neyland Stadium got rid of the natural turf and went to an artificial turf? According to WIVK it would be ORANGE just like how Boise State has the Big Blue Turf. (blue artificial turf).
Claiming that Justin Wilcox coming from Boise State had the idea credit.
I don’t see the Vols playing on artificial turf, they play so much better on natural turf. Besides what would happen to the checkerboard in the in-zone? If they did play on an orange artificial turf then those black jerseys they played in on Halloween of 2009 would be sharp. WIVK had both Mike Hamilton (Mens Athletic Director for the University of Tennessee) and Derek Dooley (New Head Football Coach for the University of Tennessee).
But would stood out was Coach Dooley stated they would come out in orange jerseys, orange pants, orange socks, and orange helmets. Yes, orange helmets. That might have been a big red flag there. With all that orange would you be able to tell the players apart on the field of orange?
Did you know that 1993 was the last year Neyland Stadium had artificial turf and the Vols played Vanderbilt in that game.
On this joke they were trying to say how every football player was psyched about this change. Plus, they added it would save on the budget. Would plastic grass really save that much money? How easy would artificial turf be to maintain compared to natural turf?
What do you think? Feel free to share your ideas as comments.

While listening to The Huckabee Report, May 29, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. on WIVK, I heard that Knoxville, TN has made it to his broadcast. Some guy here in Knoxville, TN has 21 kids. Yes, you read that right. 21 KIDS! He has these 21 kids by 11 different women. Get this! Huckabee adds this young man only makes minimum wage. I think some neutering is order for young me and women that keep popping out kids like that! Don’t you agree? OH yea, this young man got Huckabee’s big “ZERO”.
On a side note, he also talked about the American Flag and how places say it is offensive to display the American Flag! I find nothing wrong with displaying the American Flag. We ought to be proud to be Americans and show it! It was also like this Marine Veteran that has 3 United States Marine Corp emblems on his truck. His home owners association fines $50 per night your car is parked at your own with any kind of decal on it.

I just wanted to say that Mike Huckabee has been doing a great job with this radio show The Huckabee Report.
It took just a little bit of of getting accustom to Mike Huckabee, being use to Paul Harvey. Paul Harvey will truly be missed. I really enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey News and Comment. We will no longer hear, “And That Was The Rest of the Story” as Paul Harvey signed off from his broadcast.
I love how Huckabee adds his own comments or gestures to the news he presents it over the air. Keep up the great work Mike!
I listen to The Huckabee Report on WIVK 107.7 FM in Knoxville, TN.
